Saying goodbye to people, places, experiences or even a year
is always hard, especially when we grow into routines of the day to day. But
with the start of a new year taking the time out to reflect on some of the
highlights and lowlights of the year is an essential way to start fresh.

DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater
Ahh the joys of Christmas!!! Christmas is one of my favorite
times of year, I love to get together with friends and family, go to parties,
decorate, gift wrap and simply be creative. So this year when I was invited to an Ugly
Christmas Sweater Party, I jumped at the opportunity to use my creativity to
make my own Ugly Christmas Sweater. Not only was it fun but it only cost $10 to
create and who doesn’t like saving money during the holiday season!!!!

Leather Weather
Autumn is the perfect time of year to wear leather or shall
I say pleather. With the seasons changing leather is a great alternative to add
a little warmth, style and comfort, while still looking fierce!!!

Transitioning a Summer Dress into Fall
Just because it’s fall that doesn’t mean you still can’t
rock some of your favorite summer trends. I love Indian summer days, when the
weather is warm, crisp, cool and inviting. Days like this the sun just lightly
touches you but is strong enough to remind you of the bliss of summer. These
days are perfect to pull out a summer dress or even shorts and wear on well
into the fall.

My 9 Year Journey with Adult Braces
Wow!!! After 9 years my braces have
finally been removed, I am still in shock and I honestly can’t believe that I
am braces free. I contemplated if I should blog about my experience as it is a
very emotional one for me, but I decided to go ahead and talk about my journey
and how having braces helped build my confidence.

Falling for Fall Lookbook
Fall is officially here, time for pumpkin spiced everything,
slowly layering up and getting cozy. For me autumn means going back to
routine!!! Trying to balance full time work, school, family and a social life
can be challenging but that doesn’t mean that I am going to let my sense of
style suffer. As the days get cooler I find myself looking for outfits that are
comfortable, stylish and will last me throughout the day and night…

Rio Inspired Plus Size Lookbook
The Rio 2016 Olympic Games are in full swing and though I
would have loved to attend the games, that doesn’t mean that I cannot enjoy the
spirit of the summer Olympics and all that it has to offer straight from my
home, Go Team USA!!! I have been a longtime fan of the Olympics, I think it is
such a treat to see different nations come together to compete for the Gold,
Silver and Bronze metals. Plus with the games taking place in Brazil this year,
it adds a little extra magic to the event!!! I thought what better way to
celebrate than to put together some Rio inspired fashion looks to feel more a part
of the Olympic events.

Summer Shoe Line Up for Wide Feet
Shopping for shoes has to be my least favorite thing to shop for, it is so hard to find cute, stylish, comfortable and well-made shoes to fit my size 11W feet!!! It is a task but it is not impossible. Take a walk in my shoes and check out my summer shoe line with some styles going up to a size 13W.

Plus Size Swimsuit Lookbook 2016
Woo-Hoo, its swimsuit season!!! I just love going to the
beach and spending days pool side, I also love a good bathing suit as well. In
past years I was always determined to find the trendiest swimsuit available
within the limited amount of options provided for plus size ladies. At times it
was challenging but I am thankful that things have change and I don’t have to
look so hard to find trendy, sexy and fun swimsuit options to fit my body.

Camping Chic
I am a city girl at heart so camping is not something that
comes natural to me!!! But I love adventure so when I found out my friends
wanted to go Camping I jumped at the opportunity to go along. Being the city
girl that I am, one of the first thoughts that popped into my head was… OMG!!!
What am I going to wear!!!

Summer Style Lookbook
It’s summer time!!! One of my favorite seasons to play
around with different colors and patterns when dressing. Summer clothing may not be the most fashion forward, but it is the most fun for me!! I love
to wear light airy pieces that are casual, flirty and fun!!!

10 Year High School Reunion: A Reflection of 2002-2006 for a Night!!!
So this past
weekend I attended and survived my 10 year high school reunion!!! Yikes, it’s
been 10 years already!!! I am not sure if I should be grateful, concerned or a
little bit of both. I am grateful that I am still alive 10 years post HS and
over these past years I feel like I have grown a lot personally. As for being
concerned, I am getting further and further away from my youth and as we all
know that can be scary.

Healthy Hydration: Stay Cool & Calm During Summer Workouts!!!
It’s officially summer, woo hoo!! Spring 2016 was a definite
flop and we are finally getting some warm days here in NYC. This is my favorite
time of year to get outdoors and participate in doing all of the active things
that I love, such as extended walks, cycling, swimming and volleyball!!! While
doing all of these activities I make sure that I stay cool and well hydrated, because
catching a heat stroke is not cute!!!

Curvy Con 2016
Bigger, bolder, better!!! The Curvy Con 2016 was all that
and more!!! This year was absolutely electrifying, I had an opportunity to
network with other like minded women, shop and be exposed to other majorly
successful plus size contenders out there, not only in the fashion world but in
music and comedy as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the panels and all of the positive messages that
the speakers had to share. However, one thing that really spoke to me and thrived
my inspiration was the message of Loving your truth!!! I felt that
this message encompasses everything that a person needs to be fully confident
within themselves. Being able to love your truth will allow you to
claim who are as an individual and what you have to offer to yourself and the
world. Loving your truth means that you are able to love yourself and
your flaws!! Finding love in who you are doesn’t mean that you have to stop improving,
because the person that you are meant to be is always evolving. Recognizing your
truth will help you to grow with any changes that you may be facing in your
life now or in the future!! Going forward I am planning to incorporate this message into all aspects
of my own life. Now onto the fashion…
Down with the
Denim!!
For this year’s look, I wanted to have a more laid back
style but still look put together. I decided on wearing a form fitting denim
dress. I thought that this dress was casual but still feminine and I just loved
the way that it flattered my curves. I paired the dress with light shrug and
some jeweled wedges for a little extra sparkle!

Dress: This dress is from Ashley Stewart, Size 28, unfortunately
it is sold out, but a little birdie told me that it may be back in stock soon,
so keep an out for this on their website!
Shrug: Torrid,
Size 5x
Shoes: Avenue, Size 12,
they did run big, I should have gone with size 11, my true size.

Curvy Con 2015 Highlights
Hey guys, this is my first ever blog post and I thought what a better topic to talk about than the Curvy Con!! With the Curvy Con 2016 just
being days away, I wanted to relive some of the highlights from last year’s
event. The Curvy Con was such an amazing event, for the first time in my life I
was able to interact with so many plus size beauties and it felt phenomenal.
Not only did I feel ultra confident, I felt inspired!! After the event I was so full of life, I had
an opportunity to bond with a good friend of mine, meet some of my favorite
plus size bloggers, do a little shopping and also some style watching as well.
Being at the Curvy Con made me feel like I was literally living in a
plus size blog!!! Weekly I go to my favorite blogs for style ideas, when I am
feeling stressed or down and their positivity always brings me right back up,
being at that event in person was just a boiling pot of positive energy and I
cannot wait to experience it again this year. After the Curvy Con I thought to
myself, Why don’t I start a blog of my
own blog? , I thought about, I dreamt about it, it has been something I
wanted to do for a while now; I even set up my own blog web page, but never posted anything. But I can now finally say a year later that I am ready
to start this journey and here it goes, just like that crossing #6 off my
bucket list Start a Blog! Let this
adventure begin!!!
Here is what I wore to Curvy Con 2015, I wanted to have a classy look but still be comfortable. I went ahead and wore RED to make a BOLD statement, I feel a little red dress is not only classy but fun as well. I paired this swing dress with a black shrug, some wedge sandals and a sequin clutch to tie the look together.
