Rio Inspired Plus Size Lookbook

The Rio 2016 Olympic Games are in full swing and though I would have loved to attend the games, that doesn’t mean that I cannot enjoy the spirit of the summer Olympics and all that it has to offer straight from my home, Go Team USA!!! I have been a longtime fan of the Olympics, I think it is such a treat to see different nations come together to compete for the Gold, Silver and Bronze metals. Plus with the games taking place in Brazil this year, it adds a little extra magic to the event!!! I thought what better way to celebrate than to put together some Rio inspired fashion looks to feel more a part of the Olympic events.

When I think about Rio, aside from the movie being the first thing that pops into my mind, I think about fun, celebrations and carnivals. I also think about vibrant festive colors, exotic flowers, attractive cuts and unique patterns; all of which are things that translate over into Brazilian fashion. With this in mind I put together three fun Rio inspired outfits that I feel embraces the heart of Rio!!!

Look 1:

I just love this outfit, not only is top fun with it is sexy cutouts, the red is so vibrant and just makes me feel like I am about to go to a carnival. I paired this top with these adorable tasseled shorts for an even more festive flair and some tribal printed wedges.

Look 3:

I loved this off-shoulder flutter top, I was able to adjust it to show as much or as little of my shoulders that I wanted. I paired this with a fun flirty floral skirt and some wedges. This outfit made me feel like dancing the night away in the streets of Rio!!!
